HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister LAVINIA!
A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. ~Isadora James
Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister Lavi :) I am currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona and really wish I was home in Salt Lake City, Utah to celebrate with her and the rest of the family. I miss being home in Utah and seeing Lavi always lock every door in the house haha. Lavi is the #3 child and is 2 years younger than me. I woke up this morning to a phone call from my Mom wanting to know how to make dessert pizza because she wanted to try to make something other than cake for Lavi's birthday. I gave her the ingredients and instructions...
EASY DESSERT PIZZA
1 bag of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
topping
1 box of cream cheese
1 jar of jet puffed marshmallow creme
2 cups of chopped strawberries or whatever fruit she wanted
Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes...Cool cookie completely and than top with cream cheese and marshmallow creme mixture. Coat cookie mixture and than put fruit on top and leave in fridge for about 2 hours. One of the easiest, quickest things to prepare for a last minute treat.
Anyways... I called her and she told me it was a semi-success because she didn't double the recipe like I told her to and put it in a full cookie sheet. Instead she put it in a smaller pan not thinking it would be a thick crust because she only made a regular batch. The crust ended up being so thick but she said everyone loved it still and Lavi said it was so delicious. I apologized to Lavi for being so broke and not able to afford a gift for her this year. She was just grateful for the phone call and told me it didn't matter anyways because she's old...haha...
Lavi has such a great personality. Out of all my sisters she reminds me of my Mom the most for some reason. I guess she's always had that nurturing type of love. So willing to help and such a hard working individual. I admire her testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and her willpower in completing her education. She is the first of all my sisters to continue on with her Masters Degree at Westminster College in Utah after recently getting her bachelors at BYU in Provo, Utah. She is currently single and I can't imagine why. With such a great personality and so many positive characteristics, as well as being a return missionary...I find it hard to believe that no one has picked up on such a great catch. With that said I hope some awesome future-brother-inlaw is reading this and musters up the courage to get himself an ETERNAL BLESSING by finding a way to her heart...SHE WOULD BE THE BEST WIFE....
I love you so much Lavi...so glad you are my sister...and to have you in my life... I am grateful for another year the lord has given you....to bless us all with your delightful witty personality. You are a constant reminder to me to keep pushing forward in anything I want to pursue...

New to blogging...
Hello everyone.... I am finally jumping on board with the blogging world. I've been meaning to start a blog for a while and just been putting it off over and over again. I like the idea of being able to share my thoughts and memories and hope to sharpen up some of the old writing skills. I was inspired to really get going on starting a blog after I read the blog of a beautiful young woman who passed away a few days ago. There is no relation between the two of us but I couldn't help but see the value in writing ones thoughts. Its amazing the things you learn in life from those who have passed on.
